Journey to Tanara: Discover the Epic World of "Hutari"

Hey everyone,

I’m excited to share with you the launch of my new book, “Hutari: Scion of Prophet and Crown,” the first in a new fantasy series. This book is a passion project, years in the making, and I’m thrilled to finally invite you to explore its world.

What is “Hutari” About?

At its core, “Hutari” is a story about destiny, power, and the eternal battle between good and evil. It’s set in the richly detailed world of Tanara, a land where ancient prophecies guide the fate of its people and where the echoes of old conflicts still resonate.

Here’s a glimpse of what you can expect:

  • Amani’s Journey: Follow the young prince Amani as he grapples with a destiny that sets him apart, and a power he struggles to control. He is not just any prince; he is a scion of both prophet and crown, a title that carries great responsibility.
  • A World in Conflict: Tanara is a land divided by ancient rivalries. The Bussar and Hogarth peoples have a tense relationship, and Amani finds himself caught in the middle.
  • The Wisdom of M’Msee: Meet M’Msee, the old village seer, a man of great wisdom and mystery. He guides Amani and carries the weight of past ages. He understands the dangers that lurk in the shadows of Tanara, and he knows that “with each life you take, you feed his awakening”.
  • Celestial Connections: The story delves into the origins of the world, exploring the role of Akuma, the creator, and his sons. The celestial realm of Aaru plays a vital role in the narrative.
  • A Clash of Powers: The book explores themes of power and its consequences, as well as the need for restraint. Amani has the power of Aaru and the ability to control storms.

More Than Just a Fantasy

“Hutari” is more than just an adventure story. It’s a story that explores the complexities of duty, family, and the choices we make.

  • Themes of Good vs. Evil: “Hutari” delves into the battle between light and darkness, a struggle that is both external and internal. Amani must learn to control the “storm within him” to face the coming darkness.
  • Inspiration: The book draws on elements of Christian theology, making it an engaging read for those who enjoy speculative Christian fantasy.
  • Complex Characters: The characters are well-developed and face complex choices, making their journeys relatable. As Amani learns, not all enemies are who they seem, and friendships can form in the most unlikely places.
  • Worldbuilding: The world of Tanara is rich and detailed, drawing readers into its lore and cultures. From the bustling cities of Hogarth to the ominous mountain of Moshek, the world feels alive.

Behind the Book

As an independent author, I have poured my heart and soul into this story, drawing inspiration from a variety of sources, including the works of Frank Peretti, Brian Godawa, and the late Dr. Michael S. Heiser. I’ve also been influenced by the rich tapestry of comic books, art, and stories from other writers. My goal is to provide a unique take on the fantasy genre, with themes that will resonate with readers on a deep level.
