^{Our Foundation}

^{Our understanding of creativity begins with Scripture.}

^{Human beings are uniquely created in the image of God (Genesis 1:26–27). Throughout Scripture, God is revealed as the Creator, and humanity is portrayed as a creature capable of genuine creativity because we reflect His image—not because we create independently of Him, but because He has endowed us with imagination, reason, wisdom, craftsmanship, and the ability to exercise meaningful dominion over creation.}

^{For that reason, we believe authorship is fundamentally an expression of human agency and responsibility, not merely the mechanical production of an artifact.}

^{We recognize that this understanding is, in many respects, contrary to the assumptions of modern culture, which increasingly attributes creative agency to technological systems or evaluates works primarily by their outputs rather than by the human judgment that produced them. As Christians, however, we believe our thinking should be shaped first by Scripture rather than by prevailing cultural narratives (Romans 12:2; Colossians 2:8).}

^{Our Philosophy of Authorship}

^{We believe that authorship belongs to the person who exercises creative judgment, not to the tools used in the creative process. The human is the initiating intentional agent.}

^{Artificial intelligence is a powerful creative technology, but it is not an author. It possesses no imagination, intent, moral responsibility, or purpose. Like every other tool, it assists in execution; it does not possess independent creative agency.}

^{This conviction reflects the biblical principle that a work points to its maker.}

^{“For every house is built by someone, but He who built all things is God.” (Hebrews 3:4)}

^{Scripture consistently identifies the builder—not the materials or instruments—as the source of a work. Likewise, we believe creative works should be attributed to the one who conceived, directed, and bears responsibility for them.}

^{Our Standard for Authorship}

^{We consider a work to be human-authored when a human is responsible for the essential creative decisions that shape the final product. These decisions include:}

• ^{Conceiving the underlying vision.}
• ^{Determining the message or artistic purpose.}
• ^{Directing and refining the creative process.}
• ^{Evaluating, selecting, rejecting, and revising outputs.}
• ^{Exercising final editorial and artistic approval.}

^{The presence of AI in the workflow does not transfer authorship from the human creator to the machine.}

^{Use of Artificial Intelligence}

^{We may use AI-assisted tools in portions of our creative process just as creators have long used pens, cameras, musical instruments, editing software, search engines, design applications, and countless other technologies.}

^{AI may assist exploration, iteration, organization, editing, visualization, or production. It does not determine our intent, establish our message, or assume responsibility for the finished work.}

^{The human creator remains accountable for everything published.}

^{Our Commitment to Truth}

^{Because Scripture commands truthfulness, honesty, and integrity (Exodus 20:16; Proverbs 12:22; Ephesians 4:25), we believe customers deserve truthful representations about authorship.}

^{Our commitment is not to avoid technology but to ensure that every work presented under our name genuinely reflects our own creative judgment and responsibility.}

^{We will not knowingly claim authorship where meaningful human authorship does not exist.}

^{Likewise, we reject the assumption that the mere use of AI eliminates human authorship. The ethical question is not whether AI participated in the workflow, but whether a human exercised the creative agency that produced the finished work.}

^{Stewardship of Technology}

^{Scripture portrays human beings as stewards of God’s creation, called to cultivate, develop, and wisely govern the tools and resources entrusted to them (Genesis 1:28; Genesis 2:15; Matthew 25:14–30).}

^{We therefore regard artificial intelligence as something to be stewarded responsibly rather than feared uncritically or celebrated uncritically. Like every human invention, it should serve truth, wisdom, and human flourishing.}

^{Our Commitment}

^{Every work we publish is presented as an expression of human creative direction and responsibility.}

^{Technology may assist our process.}

^{It does not replace our authorship.}

^{Our reputation ultimately rests not on the tools we use, but on the integrity of the creative judgment behind every work we release.}

^{## AI Disclosure Policy}

 

^{Our understanding of authorship is grounded in the conviction that authorship belongs to the person who exercises creative agency and responsibility, not merely to the tools employed in the creative process. Accordingly, we do not regard artificial intelligence as an author or creator in its own right, but as an instrument directed by human intention and judgment.}

^{We recognize, however, that publishers, distributors, retailers, and other governing authorities may define or classify AI-generated content differently than we do. Following the example of Christ, who distinguished what was truly owed from what He voluntarily rendered “lest we should offend” (Matthew 17:24–27), we will honestly and fully comply with all applicable disclosure requirements established by those governing authorities.}

^{Our compliance with such policies should not be understood as an endorsement of every underlying definition of authorship or creativity. Rather, it reflects our commitment to truthfulness, lawful conduct, and respect for legitimate authority (Romans 13:1–7; Titus 3:1; 1 Peter 2:13–17).}

^{Accordingly, whenever a platform, publisher, or governing body requests disclosure regarding the use of artificial intelligence in the creation of our works, we will answer those questions truthfully, completely, and in accordance with their stated requirements, while maintaining our conviction that ultimate authorship resides in the human creator who conceived, directed, and accepted responsibility for the work.}
